Spectator cameras are fairly important and should definitely be included in any map. These cameras allow for dead and spectating players to see what is going on while they wait to either re-spawn or for the team with all their friends on it to open up!
To create spectator cameras we need to create an info_observer_point entity.

When this is placed in the map it will look like a camera. The direction the lens is pointing is what it will see. You can move it around in the top, front, or right views if you please. Or you can give it a place to point at in just a few clicks. Select the Pitch Yaw Roll (Y Z X) property and the click the Point at button. Your cursor will look like a cross-hair, and you can click anywhere in the 3D view of you map where you want this camera to point.

Team Camera

You can also specify what team gets to use this camera at any given time. Select the Team property (default is Any) and select a team. The opposite team will not be able to use the camera.

Starting Camera

When a player loads a map the first thing they usually see (if not the team select screen) is the starting camera, or Welcome Point. To set a camera as the welcome point simply assign the team to Any, and change the welcome point property to yes!

That’s all I have for you tonight. If you have any questions, as always, feel free to ask away in our forums!
