Simple 3D Text Creation

Here is an example of what we will be making:
Click and hold the Spline Primitive tool icon. This will show a menu for all the splines we can make.
Now select the Text tool.
You will now see an outline of “Text” in the 3D perspective view.
Under the objects tab (on right with everything that you have in the scene), select the Text object we just created. Under the object tab is the Attributes panel. Under Object Properties you will find the text box. Type whatever you want, I’ll be using my alias.
Click and hold the NURBS tool.
Select Extrude NURBS.
Click and drag the Text onto the Extrude NURBS. (Arrow will point down)
You will now have the text look like this:
You can round the edges of the text by using Fillet Caps. Either use the settings below, or just keep messing around with the numbers until you find a style that looks good.
If you went with the setting that I chose, your text should look like this:
And there you go! You have 3D text! Now you can add materials, lighting, floors, or whatever to make it look better.
